Both machines are fitted with a 1.2 GHZ Video Downlink to a video display mounted on the camera operators control unit. They are also fitted with a Renschler Picolario vario which gives us an acurate altitude reading and also monitors the receiver battery voltage.

This helicopter has been specially designed for this work by Minicopter in Germany. It is virtually silent in operation and has a 20 minute flight duration on a full charge. The motor is controlled using an electronic speed controller with built in governor keeping the rotors at a constant RPM
