Using remotely controlled helicopters Lothian Aerial Imaging provide a service which allows you to see your property or area of interest from a different perspective.
Aerial Photography is not new, but with the equipment we use it is possible to operate at lower altitudes and more difficult sites than a full size aircraft or helicopter.
This can give high quality pictures less affected by haze etc. It is also more cost effective than using a full size machine. Our main helicopter was specially developed for this type of work by Minicopter in Germany. It is electrically powered and virtually silent in operation allowing us to operate in noise sensitive areas.
The helicopters are fitted with a pan and tilt camera mount and video down link enabling the camera operator to finely adjust the subject in the view finder which he can see on the video display unit.
We also use a remote controlled aircraft for higher altitude work or when surveying larger areas.
As we are using digital camera's the results can be viewed imediately on our laptop computer ensuring that the pictures are satifactory before leaving the site.
